Who we are
Information, technology and major projects
We established Informma after many years experience in technology strategy, software development and project management in the healthcare and infrastructure industries.
We saw an opportunity to improve how technologies and information are integrated and used to de-risk major projects.
Our team of project managers, system analysts, software developers and consultants, advise on healthcare and transport infrastructure projects. We have led and worked with government and private sector teams for a series of hospital and health service redevelopments as well as large transport infrastructure projects.
We are passionate about using technologies and information holistically and creatively to improve how infrastructure is designed, delivered and operated.

Our approach
Our goal is to de-risk projects by making better use of information and technology
While major projects contribute substantially to economic growth and social development, they are becoming increasingly complex with high risk of overspend, delay and litigation.
A series of studies reviewing over 1800 major projects in rail and road infrastructure in the last decade, showed a weighted average overspend of 22%.
This is no different in Australia, where analysis from the Grattan Institute found cost overruns of 21% for projects over $20 million over the past 20 years. Large projects are even worse, for $1 billion-plus projects with an overrun, that overrun was $1 billion itself.
Through our experience working on major projects across transport infrastructure and healthcare, we believe that good information management, especially in the early business case, design and costing phases can help mitigate cost overrun.
We believe that good information management requires:
Our team takes a holistic approach to information management and technology by addressing these factors early on.
